ARTIST PROFILE: STEVE HEYEN
Cremorne, NSW
Steven Heyen is an award winning artist based in Sydney. Born in 1960, he specialises in the landscape, wildlife and aviation genres. He is represented in galleries in Sydney and Victoria, and has been published in Australian Artist magazine in their Master Painters section. He is a multiple award winner of the RAAF Heritage Award, including first prize in 2004 and second prize in 2003 and 2005.
Steven has been a member of the Australian Society of Aviation Artists since its inception, and was also a member of the American Society of Aviation Artists for several years, attending three of their forums in the US. His favoured subject matter includes military aircraft of the WWII era, and some post-war airliners. He paints exclusively in oils these days.
