WELCOME to the ASAA gallery of Daniel Burke. Daniel has worked as an illustrator for many years in Sydney and Canberra, and produced work for clients in the UK, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong and New Zealand. His illustration clients included the RAAF and British Aerospace. Daniel's art encompasses various media and is predominantly of military aviation subjects. PEARL
Watercolour on Illustration Board - 20.2cm x 15cm.
Inspired by the story of P-40 pilot Kenneth Taylor who was one of the few who managed to make it into the air at Pearl Harbour on December 7, 1941 and engage the enemy. Taylor, with friend George Welch, was credited with 6 of the 29 Japanese aircraft lost that day. |
